How one thinks through who the ultimate customer is for a company, the needs of those customers, and the organizational challenges of being an incumbent are both strong impediments for existing firms and opportunities for startups. "You have to start with a great product, but that is not enough... You have to figure out how to monetize those [products], and that is with services."
